Political guests were not invited. Nirmala Sitharaman's daughter is married to Pratik Doshi, a key aide of PM Narendra Modi. A video of the wedding is going viral on social media. Doshi hails from Gujarat and works as Officer on Special Duty in the Prime Minister's Office. When PM Modi became the Prime Minister for the first time, he had moved to Delhi in the year 2014. He was promoted to the post of Joint Secretary in June 2019.
Doshi is a graduate of Singapore Management School. He had earlier worked as a research assistant in the Gujarat Chief Minister's Office during Modi's tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister.
